I am a little late at posting anything new because things have been crazy here. I would never have thought it would take 4-6 months to acclimate to a new area. The weather surprisingly reminds me of Kansas. It is 78 one day and -20 the next. I am just grateful the only one that has gotten sick is me. ESPECIALLY since teenage girls think that hoodies are the only jackets they need because anything else is just inconvenient between classes and takes out of their limited social time.
We had fun in Columbus though and saw interesting places!! I am posting some of the pictures here.
Columbus Skyline at 6:30 am!
Fencing Pools.. Avery got 31 out of 57 in Epee which is awesome! He fought the USA Olympic Fencing team and many veteran fencers age 16 to 100!! It was crazy there.. but so fun! It was the first time I got to watch him fence competitively. Besides nothing like seeing Arnold Swarzenegger kick off the Arnold Classic and be displayed. I wish I had taken a picture of the crown from the top of the landing but I would have been crushed.. It looked like a "STEROID STAMPEDE" and was utterly SARDINE packed with the BIGGEST and BUFFEST men and women I had ever seen!
Darth Vader and Obi-One presented the medals to winners and posed with people. Miss Bry took her picture with them but I won't show it.. just imagine her where this kiddo was.
THEY HAVE THE COOLEST McDonald's! It is DRIVE through only! Very nice, although I don't favor the food much. I love the fries. I just loved the vintage old time feel of it. Ronald was resting on a bench waiting for someone to share a burger with him.
We had to get this sign.. was quite different and funny at the same time. Blurry a bit because was while we were turning a corner and I kinda am not the best at hairpin turn pictures with a phone... But the Industrial Evacuation was awesome.. how often do you see that? We had to giggle because we imagined one like it saying ZOMBIE EVACUATION... HIVE MIND this direction... Uninfected this way....
Well that was Columbus... was a nice little jaunt.. will sight see more later.
